For the surfers that spend their whole lives chasing the perfect wave, they should have been in Bali last week.
In Uluwatu, 25th July, those present at the “The Rock Where The Land Ends” at the foot of Bali, saw a once in a generation event.
With waves reaching 20-30 feet, locals say there haven’t been waves that size for at least 20 years. It was a surfers dream.
One experienced surfer, Eloy Lorenzo Junior, after being towed into a wall of water 3 stories high, rode the wave for a whole minute.
Onlookers were saying it was the longest wave ever ridden at Uluwatu:
But there is something mesmerizing about this unnamed surfer catching this Mega Swell. The wave makes him look like a buzzing mosquito in comparison.
