Almost 10 years ago, on November 10, 2010, the then U.S. President Barack Obama was given a rock star’s welcome at one of Indonesia’s biggest universities, where he charmed an audience with Bahasa Indonesia phrases and a message of reform.
The speech concluded Obama’s nostalgic visit to Indonesia, where he spent four years as a young boy, and the president spoke warmly of his childhood memories.
