For 99.99% of an Indonesian traffic warden’s career, work is pretty dull.
Waving and whistling Indonesia’s traffic from stand still to inching forward, the hot, sticky work is a thankless and repetitive task.
But for Brigadier Natan Doris in Bandung on Wednesday 25th June, things got racy…
Caught on video by a passenger in the car ahead, a scene unfolds with Natan holding onto a black car – Terminator 2 style – after it failed to stop at a red light.
Let’s be honest, it’s not an uncommon crime in Indonesia.
But that wasn’t to deter Bridgadier Natan from doing his duty.
In trying to apprehend the driver, Natan was hit by the hood of the car before being carried 100 meters.
His suspicions proved correct, finding “dangerous items inside.”
The police are still investigating the driver to see if, and to what extent, he broke the law… because almost killing a cop is borderline in this great country.
But all’s well that end’s well.
And, thanks to the certain heroics of a Brigadier Natan Doris, the internet has another 15 seconds of chuckle to enjoy…
