The United States Of South East Asia – Imagining ASEAN Unification

Imagine ASEAN was united as one country.

It’s an interesting thought experiment. A unified South East Asia would have a population of 650 million people, with ethnically Austronesian people making up 55% of its total. Interestingly, SEA is the most religiously diverse region on the planet. No one religion makes up more than 40% of the population.
