Several important events:

202 CE – Bali was separated from Java.

882 CE – The Bedahulu Kingdom was thought to have been founded, with Sri Kesari Warmadewa as its first king.

1001 – A religious meeting at the Samuan Tiga or Penataran Temple agreed to choose the worship of Tri Murti as the Hindu sect worshipped for all Balinese.

1343 – Majapahit conquered Bali.

1460 – Dalem Waturenggong rose to the throne in the Gelgel Kingdom.

1530 – Dang Hyang Nirartha arrived in Bali.

1686 – Founding of the Klungkung Kingdom.

1846 – Dutch Invasion of Buleleng and Karangasem begins.

1849 – Fall of Jagaraga. The beginning of Dutch rule in Bali.

1913 – All of Bali were directly controlled by the Dutch East Indies government.

1946 – Puputan (Total War) of Margarana.

1958 – The Bali Province was created, separated from the previous Nusa Tenggara Province.

2020 – The COVID-19 Pandemic hit Bali.
