Sir David Attenborough is perhaps the worlds most famous naturalist.
Famed for his BBC documentaries like Blue Planet, he is now lending his enigmatic voice and charisma to the plight of one of the most endangered animals in the world. The Pangolin.
In the up and coming documentary, Pangolins: The World’s Most Wanted Animal, Attenborough recalls the moment he encountered a Pangolin on the Indonesian island of Bali in the 1950’s. He purchased the animal from a hunter and set it free.
Pangolin scales are considered to be worth more than ivory and are in great danger of going extinct due to the lucrative business of trafficking.
