Policeman Makes Man Do Pushups As Punishment For Stopping At Zebra Crossing

Does the punishment fit the crime?

A motorbike rider was spotted performing pushups at a zebra crossing in Bali, apparently as a punishment for stopping his bike there.

The driver is seen lowering to the ground in the middle of the crossing as a Bali police officer looks on – in an image that has “gone viral” over the last couple of days.

Info Denpasar reposted the photo from Instagram user @ogick of the middle-of-the-street chest workout on Thursday.

“Forced to a stop at the zebra cross, the online motorbike taxi driver was asked to do pushups by the police officer,” Info Denpasar captioned the photo.

“Don’t copy this brothers and sisters. Always be orderly in traffic and while driving,” they added. 

But the question to be asked is – should the driver of the car be subject to the same punishment? Was the motorbike driver unfairly targetted? You be the judge!
