This 6-minute video shows the incredible evolution of Java’s original empires competing with each other for control over Indonesia’s most populated island. It brings to life the old Sunda, Majahapit, and Mataram empires – it even goes back as far as the Tarumanagara Kingdom!
As if to show how rich the history of Java is, the Dutch and VOC don’t make an appearance until the last 1 minute of the video.
